How Digg.com needs to fix the email this feature

http://www.digg.com

When you use digg.com, a nice feature is the email-this button. Unfortunately when the link ends in a punctuation mark, the link won't display correctly in most email clients. As a result, clicking the link will not work.

I've emailed this to the digg webmaster already and kevin. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon, but here's a temporary workaround.

To fix this problem, they could add a dummy field as in the example below. Here is a recent digg email-this link that didn't work:

The simple way to fix this is to create the link like this:
http://digg.com/links/How_to_pull_an_all-nighter.?a=1

The ?a=1 is a dummy field, but prevents the "." from being dropped off in most email clients. The "." is part of the link. Digg could also fix this by removing the "." off of links
